If you’re trying to eat more plant-based foods, you may be wondering what to have at a cookout. Depending on where you live, the choices may be limited to hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, ribs, sausage, etc. Bringing your own healthy main dishes or sides can let you enjoy the fun and also introduce others to healthier options. Frozen veggie burgers are an easy substitute for hamburgers, and grilled corn, potato wedges, and vegetables are always delicious. Here is a recipe for grilled tofu with Mediterranean flavors for something different:
Homemade sorbet or “nice cream” is easy to make at without an ice cream maker. My versions of these light desserts are mainly fruit with very little added sugar, like Fresh Cantaloupe Berry Nice Cream:
